The Cognitive and Neural Science of Learning (CNSL) Lab

at the University of Greensboro

Located in the Department of Psychology, Eberhart Building

View our lab brochure HERE!

I am NOT recruiting Ph.D. students to start in the 2025-2026 academic year. Interested students can find out more about current projects in the lab here and about our department and the graduate program here.

The CNSL lab investigates fundamental principles of human learning from a multi-disciplinary perspective. In particular, we use techniques of cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, and neuroscience to address questions of interest to basic science, but which also have practical implications for Education research. This includes both behavioral experimental and neural methods.

Current research topics: neural plasticity and recovery from aphasia; the role of motor-experience in acquiring written language; sub-lexical knowledge and individual differences in reading & spelling
